Ballet Petit Calendar for the Academic Year

First Semester
Semester Production: The Nutcracker
Production Participation Registration: in Aug. 30i
Late Production Participation Registration no later than Aug. 30. $10.00 Late fee required
for Late Registrants.
Semester Length / Required Registration: Sept. - Dec. (4 months)
Performances scheduled for the first weekend in Decemeber.
This year the performances are Dec. 5 , 2009, 2 PM and 7 PM for entire cast with the
Closing Show cast only on December 6, 2009 at 7 P.M. for the closing night cast
only. (See staff for details.)
Performances at Chabot College Centre for the Performing Arts in Hayward.
First Semester Ballet School Holidays:
- Labor Day Holiday Weekend (Sat.-Mon.)
- Halloween Night
- Thanksgiving Weekend (Wed.-Sun.)
- Christmas/Winter Break (usually around Dec. 17-20 depending until after New Years)
Second Semester
Semester Production: Dancing Princesses
( Jr. Company will be performing TBA
Production Participation Registration January 1-20.
NO LATE REGISTRATION POSSIBLE FOR SPRING CONCERT PARTICIPATION DUE TO CASTING / COSTUMING TIME CONSTRAINTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
Semester Length / Required Registration: Jan. - June (6 months)
Performances tentatively scheduled for May 15, 2010 2 PM and 7 PM at Chabot College
Centre for the Performing Arts in Hayward.
All dancers perform in both shows of Spring Concert.
Second Semester Ballet School Holidays:
- Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday (Mon.)
- President’s Day Weekend (usually around Valentines)
- Spring Break (Good Friday-Sunday after Easter)
- Memorial Day Holiday Weekend (Sat.-Mon.)
- Summer Break (from mid-June - after 4th of July, for June dates please check June it will close around June 19th) for 2010 June 19th - July 6, 2010
Summer Session
Semester Length/ Suggested Registration: July and Aug. (2 months)
Summer Enrichment Program: Master / Pieces (Info. available at a later date)
Previous offerings have included ballet day camps, water ballet, master classes, Fairy Princess Day Camp, Pilates, Modern meets the Classics, etc.
Regular Classes: Summer Session 20010 begin following
the Fourth of July holiday and ends the Thursday before Labor Day.
