Our dress code is necessary since body posture and placement must be visible so that the faculty can properly assess the dancers line and movement.
Girls
Girls are required to wear the following during class:
Black, leotard
Pink tights
Black or pink Ballet slippers
Ballet skirts may also be worn during the center portion of classes
Female dancers must have their hair pulled back from their face and secured firmly.
Women
Adults are free to wear sensible exercise wear.
Boys/Men
Male dancers are required to wear the following during class:
white, gray, or blue tee shirt
Shorts or black tights
White socks and black or white ballet slippers
Intermediate and Advanced boys replace shorts with tights.

Never enter or exit the studio in dance attire. Always arrive and leave in regular street clothes.

For All Dancers
Potentially dangerous jewelry such as dangling earring, large rings, etc may not be worn in the class for safety reasons. Students are to arrive and leave the studio dressed in regular street clothes. It is highly improper to be dressed in ballet practice clothes beyond the boundaries of the studio facility. Ballet shoes are never to be worn outdoors.
It is strongly recommended that all ballet clothes and shoes be labeled with the owner's name. |
